About Us

We are a small hobby kennel located in southern Indiana, near Louisville, Kentucky who have been enthralled with retrievers for over 20 years. We would like to invite you to spend a little time getting to know what we are about and viewing the beautiful pets that we take great pride in.

Our goal is to produce retrievers that are bred for what the breeds were created for: Temperament, Longevity and Man's Best Friend.

Our dogs are an all important part of our family, living both inside and outside.  To make every effort to ensure the health of their offspring, selected breeding pairs must successfully pass the appropriate genetic testing prior to breeding.

Obedience Training

We are actively involved with obedience trials -- training and handling our own dogs. We feel that obedience training is the communication link between you and your dog and is a prerequisite for any other training.

The key to training basic obedience is praise, practice, patience and fun. Be very generous with your praise, be consistent in your practice, be patient with your pet and make it fun.

While your dogs should always remember to be good citizens, they cannot be expected to behave as in the obedience ring at all times. When training, remember to always end each exercise so puppy knows he/she can be a puppy again.
